Hi! I’m DJ GG The Blue Haired Hippie.

My one true passion is music – I believe with my entire soul that music has the power to unite, to soothe, to empower, to encourage, to uplift.

I currently broadcast two shows on Sheena’s Jungle Room on WFMU:

  • Hi Waisted Modernists on Wednesdays from 3pm to 4pm EST
  • The Flange & Frigate Show on Fridays from 4pm to 6pm EST

The cornerstone of everything I do is love and kindness – love of music, love of community, love of my listeners. I combine familiar tunes with unfamiliar songs and create musical experiences on the airwaves. Nothing makes me happier than music, and nothing gives me greater joy than sharing it with you.

I’ve also done live DJing around my hometown of Brighton, have broadcast on Mixcloud, played live on Facebook, and done extensive voiceover work.

I was the first voice heard on Sheena’s Jungle Room when it launched in October 2018, and am also the first female DJ on Sheena’s Jungle Room, too – something that brings me a great deal of happiness and pride.
